Hullo! CJ. Seventeen. Christian. Dabbler. Bibliophile. My life mostly revolves around Doctor Who, Harry Potter, Hiddlesbatch, Sherlock, Suits, occasionally LOTR and Marvel, Star Trek and Wars, football (Barcaaaa), good films [and a whole lot of studying somewhere in the background.]

going down w/ these ships: Harmony, Drinny, Snily, Smillan, TenxRose, Sherlolly/Johnlock, Sherlock/Microscope, Darvey, Aragorn/Arwen, Loki/Scepter, Saavik/David, and Spock/Kirk

did you ever become friends with someone so beautiful?  and then they started telling you about the douchebags in their lives that did horrible things to them, like cheat and lie. and the only thing running through your mind is “who would ever want to hurt someone like you?”

Reasons to dye your hair bright and unnatural colors

  • Being punk rock
  • Looking hella cute
  • Small children’s reactions

I do not make films primarily for children. I make them for the child in all of us, whether we be six or sixty. — Walt Disney.

#this is the most realistic portrayal of what would happen if you were to randomly burst into song

And this is why I love Enchanted. It’s like a Disney movie and a Disney parody at the same time.

It always gets me when people give credit to Tangled and Frozen for subverting the Disney genre, when Enchanted did it so bloody well.

Not that Tangled and Frozen don’t deserve credit for doing it too, but… people forget Enchanted. And I love that movie.

Jeff Hong - “Unhappily ever after”

I never reblog anything to do with Disney princesses but this is kind of hauntingly beautiful

Family of Blood AU: When Rose, trapped in the parallel universe, encounters the Weeping Angels, she is sent back to 1913 - and her original universe. There, she finds a man who looks like the Doctor, sounds like the Doctor - but only has one heart, calls himself John Smith, and teaches at a local school. She takes a job at the school to get closer to him and try to figure out what’s going on, while Martha tries to figure out if the newcomer is friend or foe.

you’ll be there til the end of me

There’s a man called The Doctor. He lives on a cloud in the sky, and all he does, all day, every day is to stop all the children in the world ever having bad dreams.

I remember the first time I watched it, I was so into it and I was like, “Man, this movie is so awesome. This is totally my kind of movie.” And then an hour and a half later I was like “Oh, s**t, that’s right, I’m in it.”

Have many times are people going to have to explain this to other people before they realize how rude this comes off as?

I see this daily, but mostly on Twitter. Saying things like this is massively disrespectful to both Karen and Matt. Not only is it huge invasion into their personal lives, but it is also wildly inappropriate and probably makes them feel very uncomfortable.

I, for one, do not like shipping real people, and that is a standard I will continue to uphold. However, and please don’t take this the wrong way, but the people that continue to do this are Smillan shippers. Not all of you, of course, I am not stereotyping here, just stating the facts.

Now I understand. Everybody wants their pairing to be together, or “canon”, but Karen and Matt are not characters in a show. They are living, breathing, human beings, and should be treated as such. Invading into there personal lives like this is doing nothing but making the fandom look bad as a whole.

I’m not saying people should stop shipping Smillan. I myself do not, but I’m not going to tell anybody what to or not to ship, because that’s just idiotic and rude. I’m simply saying that telling Karen and Matt things like the tweets above, or “lol you two are TOTALLY married!!!” or “have you confessed your love for each other yet??!” is very disrespectful and needs to stop immediately.

Please, try to think of their feelings, thank you.

so we’re in sort of a difficult situation because we know the constant reminders are obnoxious and we don’t want it to seem like we’re policing you BUT. as we’ve said a million and one times already RESPECTING MATT AND KAREN IS THE NUMBER ONE PRIORITY OF THIS BLOG. we’ve seen a few inappropriate…

Now I’m in no way defending Sherlock’s behavior in this scene because Sherlock was way out of line and there’s no excuse for his actions. He was, as Benedict himself stated, a total arsehole. I’m here to discuss his reaction to Molly’s present.

Throughout the entire deduction of Molly’s gift, Sherlock keeps going on about how Molly’s trying her best to impress a certain man and here’s where it gets intriguing; not once throughout the entire deduction do we hear Sherlock alluding to himself being the man in question because look at his face when he reads the tag.

He’s shocked, and for a split second it looks like he’s not able to breathe. And when Molly tells him how much of a jackass he’s been to her, he can’t bear to look at her because he knows how deeply he’s hurt her feelings and instead of just walking away in uncomfortable silence, Sherlock does the right thing and apologizes immediately.

And here’s where get to the really interesting part. Sherlock’s gift is his ability to deduce people down to the very minute details, and Molly’s been pretty obvious about her feelings for Sherlock, so why was he so shocked?

Because it never crossed his mind that he was worth that kind of affection, and because he’s so used to people faking pleasantries around him just so that they can use him for his gift of deduction, Molly’s feelings and attempts to forge a relationship went largely unnoticed. But here is where he realizes that Molly’s feelings for him are true and now the blinders are off. So ultimately in the end, Molly and Sherlock are pretty much in the same boat in that they’re both lonely socially awkward people who need companionship. It’s actually a really sad scene for both of them.
